General
Microshading, also known as powder brows, is a semi-permanent brow technique that creates a soft, makeup-like finish using a shading method rather than individual hair strokes. The result mimics filled-in brows with a gradient effect—lighter at the front and more defined toward the tail.
Yes. Microshading is suitable for all skin types, including oily, dry, sensitive, mature, and combination skin. It is especially ideal for clients with oily skin or larger pores, where traditional microblading may not hold as well.
Immediately after your appointment, brows will appear darker and more defined. This is completely normal. As the skin heals, the color will soften by about 30–40%, revealing a more natural, blended finish.
Discomfort levels vary, but most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate. A topical numbing agent is applied throughout the service to keep you as comfortable as possible.
Yes! Powder brows enhance your natural brows and reduce daily makeup time, but you can still wear makeup once healing is complete. Many clients find they need little to no brow makeup afterward.
Microshading may not be suitable for individuals who are pregnant, undergoing chemotherapy, have certain skin conditions, or uncontrolled medical conditions. A consultation is always recommended to determine eligibility.
Yes. A touch-up is essential and is usually scheduled 6–8 weeks after your initial appointment. This allows the artist to reinforce pigment, correct any uneven areas, and customize the final look.
Powder brows offer better longevity, especially for oily or mature skin, and heal softer and more evenly across all skin tones. They are less likely to blur over time and provide a more consistent healed result.
Powder brows typically last 2–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, skincare routine, and sun exposure. Oily skin may experience faster fading, while drier skin often retains pigment longer.
Healing usually takes 7–14 days on the surface, with full color settling around 4–6 weeks. Brows may scab lightly, flake, or appear patchy during healing—this is normal. A touch-up appointment is recommended to perfect the results.
No. High-quality pigments and proper color theory are used to ensure brows fade softly and naturally, not into unwanted tones. Pigments are selected based on your skin tone, undertone, and natural brow color.
